(Click HERE to read Chapter One.) So, this really only took me a few days to finish. By the time I posted it, I was fairly happy with the way it came out. I do have a few thoughts and critiques of my own I thought I'd share.

Pride of the Species - Chapter One
So, my first chapter is done. You can read it all here on the blog, or go HERE and view it in a Google Doc. The sections separated by bold letters indicate who's perspective it is. (Tyken and Quinn, in this case.) My thoughts on this chapter will come in a bit. :)
Tyken - Dreams of Change
"NOOOOO!" I screamed awaken from the dream again in my bed, sweat soaking the sheets. Trying to slow down my breathing, I realized I had once again shaken the entire room unconsciously, with various items strewn from their original homes. I cursed under my breath, and sat up in bed for a moment, reflecting on the dream.

It Begins With An Idea
Writing has always been the one thing I've had passion for. I've worked on a few blogs over the years, but I've never taken the time to really practice writing fictional stories, something I've always wanted to do. Well, I've decide now is as good of a time as any to start!
To get things going, I'm doing a semi-continuation/fan fiction of Male of the Species, by Kate Steele. (Links go to Amazon and Kate's own blog.) It was a fairly good book, for a gay romance novel. It wasn't quite what I was looking for at the time though, as I could have been happy without all the sex scenes in it. Never the less, I decided that I'd start to practice my writing with this first, and see where it takes me.
There will be two ways you can read the sections; either on this blog itself, or via Google Doc. (Where you can download/print/share/etc.) Comments are always welcomed and appreciated.
The first goal I'm setting for myself here, is to work on my plot/character and scenery elements. I'm shooting for everything to be as smooth as possible. (Though I realize that's sometimes hard when you post a story in segments like I plan on doing.)
